Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is a very versatile venue, which hosts world-class performers and comedy actors, as well as exhibitions, conferences and banquets. The venue opened its doors over 18 years ago and featured such performers like Lady Gaga
, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Westlife, The Killers, Iron Maiden
, Elton John
and many others. In addition to that, it is a popular venue for some of the biggest names in comedy as well, such as Peter Kay and Lee Evans. Full capacity of the Arena can reach 7500 people and boasts a 5000 people seating capacity.
Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is easily accessible by car, rail or public transport.
By train: the closest railway stations to the venue are Cardiff Queen Street Station and Cardiff Central Station. Both are within just a few minutes walking distance from the Motorpoint Arena.
By car: if you are coming to the town from the east, take the motorway M4 and exit at Junction 29. If you are coming from west, leave the motorway at Junction 33 (A4232)
International: if you are travelling to the Arena straight from the Cardiff International Airport, take the bus T9 (W-bound) and get off at Customhouse Street. The venue will be within 4 minutes walking distance from the bus stop.
There is no on-site parking available for the visitors of the venue, but there are plenty of multi-storey parking lots with dedicated spaces for Blue Badge holders nearby. The closest ones would be St David’s and Rapports NCP Open Air Car Park.
Access for people with special needs
The venue is accessible for guests in a wheelchair. There is also an infrared hearing loop available in the Arena for those who are hard on hearing. Please contact the administration of the venue so that the necessary arrangements could be made in advance.
