Dirty Dancing tells the story of 17-year-old Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman who goes on holiday with her family to a sleepy resort in the mountains. This scary and thrilling theatre production is based on the 1983 book by Susan Hill. A legal practitioner, Arthur Kipps believes that the ghost of a woman dressed in black has cast a spell over his family. A sceptical actor helps to relay his horror story and attempts to drive out the fear from his mind. The further they delve into Arthur’s memory, the darker his story becomes.

4. The Mousetrap

The Mousetrap shows in London at St Martin’s Theatre on 27 May 2017.

7. Goodnight Mr Tom

Based on the children's novel by Michelle Magorian, Goodnight Mr Tom tells the story of William Beech: a young, abused boy who is evacuated to the countryside to escape a war. He finds lodging with an elderly widower and recluse, Tom Oakley, who helps to nurse the boy both physically and emotionally. But then William’s mother demands his return.
