12 great shows to attend this weekend, October 27-29

With the weekend rapidly approaching, we thought it might be good if we come up with a list of shows that would be a shame to miss during October 27th-29th. Whether you’re more into stand-up comedy shows or more into theatre-dance representations, or even if you’re more of classical theatre shows fan, we have a list of twelve shows to contain them all. Go for the one that you believe it will instantly put you in a good mood, for a couple of hours at least.

1. JASMIN VARDIMON COMPANY - PINOCCHIO

We don’t know the exact number of dance-theatre companies that exist in the UK, but what we do know for sure is that one of the best is Jasmin Vardimon. Founded back in 1997 in London, this company has truly amazed their audience with amazing shows. This Friday, October 27th, you can watch them perform an incredible show, “Pinocchio” at Sadler's Wells, London, at 7.30 pm. Get your JASMIN VARDIMON COMPANY – PINOCCHIO tickets right away!

2. JAMES ACASTER - CLASSIC SCRAPES BOOK TOUR

Stand-up comedy shows have reached a completely different level in the past years. Shows have become more and more complex, while comedians have become funnier and funnier. People started to truly appreciate them and consider them artists. James Acaster’s show is by far one of the most anticipated shows of this autumn, which means you have no excuse to skip it. This Friday, October 27th, be at Aldershot West End Centre, Aldershot, at 8.00 pm. Buy your JAMES ACASTER - CLASSIC SCRAPES BOOK TOUR tickets.

3. RAMBERT A LINHA CURVA & OTHER WORKS

What are the ingredients of an amazing Friday evening? On our opinion, theatre and dance are made for the perfect recipe. Rambert, one of the most popular theatre-dance companies are putting up an unforgettable show on October 27th, at Festival Theatre Edinburgh, Edinburgh, at 7.30 pm. Buy your RAMBERT A LINHA CURVA & OTHER WORKS tickets and enjoy a colourful, yet sexy at the same time, samba-fuelled dance.

4. LEE NELSON - SERIOUS JOKER

Researches have shown that laughter can be the best medicine in times of stress and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we have another stand-up comedy show recommendation for this Friday, October 27th – Lee Nelson’s show, entitled “Serious Joker”. The Harlington, Fleet, at 7.30 pm. Be there. And don’t forget about LEE NELSON SERIOUS JOKER tickets!

5. CRAZY FOR YOU

When theatre and music meet each other on the same stage, the result is more than beautiful – musicals seem like a great way to spend your Saturday evening and our recommendation for October 28th is “Crazy for You”. 6. BLOOD BROTHERS

We’re in love with musicals! That’s why we cannot help ourselves and we have another suggestion for this Saturday, October 28th and it’s called “Blood Brothers”. The story will immediately catch you and you’ll become one with the characters playing in this musical. Buy your BLOOD BROTHERS tickets from here and be at Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline, at 7.30 pm.

7. DR SEUSS'S THE LORAX

You are probably familiar with Lorax, a very popular character from one of the most beautiful children’s book. Well, know that there’s also a stage adaptation of it, adapted by David Greig and with songs by Charlie Fink. You just can’t miss it! It’s scheduled for this Saturday, October 28th, at The Old Vic, London, at 7.30 pm. Buy DR SEUSS'S THE LORAX tickets.

8. CARMINA BURANA

Of course, if you want something more sophisticated and complex, you can opt for a Classical show, such as “Carmina Burana”. You’ll have the chance to attend such an incredible show this Saturday, October 28th, only if you buy CARMINA BURANA tickets. Save the date and location: Royal Albert Hall, London, at 7.30 pm.

9. VAMOS CUBA!

”Cuba is back in business” is one of the titles that caught our attention in a famous newspaper. We found out about an irresistible dance show that combines great Cuban music with amazing dancing moves, that will make even those “beat deaf” individuals stand up and dance. Get your VAMOS CUBA tickets and be this Sunday, October 29th, at Peacock Theatre, London, at 6.00 pm.

10. THE BAND OF HER MAJESTY’S ROYAL MARINES

One of the shows it’s a must to see at least once in a lifetime is The Royal Marines Band’s show. They have been active for more than a hundred years (since 1903!!!) and they still continue to amaze the audience by every representation they have. That’s why you have to move fast and buy some THE BAND OF HER MAJESTY’S ROYAL MARINES tickets for this Sunday, October 29th and be at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, at 5.00 pm.

11. NIGHT AT THE MUSICALS

Did we mention before we’re in love with musicals? It just seems that these kind of shows can increase your good mood and turn a boring Sunday evening into an unforgettable one. October 29th is the date to remember, because that’s when you can buy NIGHT AT THE MUSICALS tickets. Be at St David’s Hall, Cardiff, at 7.00 pm.

12. AUSTENTATIOUS

Our last suggestion for this weekend is “Austentatious”. A unique comedy show, different from anything you have previously seen. Lines, moves, types of characters and everything else you will see on stage is pure improvisation. The name of the show is inspired from the name of one of the world’s greatest authors, Jane Austen. You can watch this incredible and unique performance this Sunday, October 29th at Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton, at 7.30 pm. Don’t forget about the AUSTENTATIOUS tickets.
