Manchester Academy 3, previously known as ‘Solem Bar’ and more recently as ‘Hop and Grape’ is music venue on the third floor of Students’ Union building. It is the smallest of all when compared to the total Academy capacity. Manchester Academy 3 can fit 450 people. It is quite often used by the students themselves for various parties. Other than that, Academy 3 houses music bands from vast music genders. Latest bands to play were Nazareth

By train and tube: From Manchester Oxford Road Station, walk to Chester Street, and take tram number 142 towards East Didsbury. Ride 3 stops to Oxford Street.
By bus: From Manchester Piccadilly Station walk to Conference Center on Charles Street, take bus number 147 towards Chorlton upon Medlock. Ride till Oxford Street, and then walk to Academy 3 for about 6 minutes.
By car: Take Ducie Street towards Station Approach from Piccadilly station, continue to London Road. Keep straight till Oxford Road.
International: Catch Transpennine Express York from Manchester Airport Station to Manchester Piccadilly Station, walk 2 minutes to Piccadilly Rail Station. Take bus 147 towards Chorlton upon Medlock. Ride 7 stops to Oxford Street.
The best option would be to park at a nearby paid parking, as on-street options are very scarce. A multi-storey NCP parking is available within walking distance from Academy 3.
Disabled parking is provided, too - at a cut half rate. Find the parking entrance on Watson Street.
Accessibility for people with special needs
Manchester Academy 3 offers guide dogs entrance for blind visitors. Moreover, a free ticket for an assistant can be obtained if booked in advance from the Box Office on-site.
