This dark comedy about an architect (Martin), his wife and their son is a marvellous look into what happens when a seemingly liberal society is pushed to its limits. When Martin falls in love with a goat, his family’s life starts to fall apart. Director, Ian Rickson has brought this classic by Edward Albee back to life – challenging the audience to question their social restrictions and moral judgements.

2. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? shows in London at the Harold Pinter Theatre during March, April and May 2017.

This play might best be remembered for its movie adaptation in 1966, starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Sandy Dennis. It’s another one of Edward Albee’s works, this time directed by James Macdonald. It’s the story about George and Martha: a married couple whose relationship starts to shatter late one night in front their unaware guests.

3. The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night-Time

The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night-Time shows in London at the Gielgud Theatre during March, April and May 2017.

This is the wonderful story about Christopher: a teenage boy who discovers a dead dog in his neighbourhood late one night. The dog appears to have been speared with a garden fork, and a suspicious Christopher meticulously writes down every little detail in his notebook. He has an exceptional intellect but is socially awkward and totally unable to understand everyday life. Although his detective work is out of this world, his father forbids it.

4. Wicked

Wicked shows in London at the Apollo Victoria Theatre during March, April, May and June 2017.

Have you ever wondered how the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the North ended up in the land of Oz? What did they do before Dorothy and Toto arrived?

Wicked is the untold “true” story about an intelligent and misunderstood young woman with green skin and astounding talents. Her conflict with another young woman – blonde and vibrant – develops into an unexpected friendship. But everything changes when the world decides to call one ‘good’ and the other one ‘wicked’.

5. The Glass Menagerie

The Glass Menagerie shows in London at the Duke of Yorks Theatre during March and April 2017.

The Glass Menagerie tells the tragic story about a domineering mother’s two fragile children: a daughter who is lost in her own little world, and a son who doesn’t want to hang around. The play was written in 1944 by Tennessee Williams and now recreated into a heartbreaking masterpiece by the award-winning director, John Tiffany. Tennessee Williams is still regarded as one of the best American playwrights in history.

This theatre production was nominated for seven Olivier Awards. All the more reason to get your The Glass Menagerie tickets.

6. The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon shows in London at the Prince of Wales Theatre during March, April and May 2017.

This is a delightful musical created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker – better known as the creators of the animated sitcom for adults, South Park. The Book of Mormon follows the journey of two pleasant Mormon missionaries: Elder Price and Elder Cunningham. Price is developing into a Mormon superstar. He's devoted to the Bible and breathtakingly handsome. Cunningham, on the other hand, is a compulsive liar and socially inept. They are paired together to serve in Africa, although Elder Price is unwilling and would much rather go to Orlando.

7. The Girls

The Girls shows in London at the Phoenix Theatre during March, April and May 2017.

This heart-warming, true story is based on the stage play and movie, Calendar Girls. Angela Baker's husband, John passed away in 1998, a few months after being diagnosed with cancer. After his death, Angela and her friends from Yorkshire decided to raise funds for a local hospital by posing nude for a calendar. This infamous calendar has attracted international attention and has raised millions for the Bloodwise cancer charity.

Tim Firth and Gary Barlow have written the new musical, The Girls. This story is still inspiring – when you buy The Girls tickets, the musical donates money from the sales to Bloodwise.

8. An Inspector Calls

An Inspector Calls shows in London at the Playhouse Theatre during March 2017.

Set in the city of Brumley, An Inspector Calls is a sinister and dark classic about a peculiar inspector who disturbs a rich family’s dinner with an unforeseen visit. He starts to interrogate and question the family about their probable connection to the death of a young lady.

9. Dreamgirls

Dreamgirls shows in London at the Savoy Theatre during March, April and May 2017.

This breathtaking musical, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, is set during a profound chapter in the story of American music. It tells the tale of three young female singers from Chicago. The theatre production premièred in 1981 and won six Tony Awards the year after.

10. Matilda the Musical
