With a history of over two decades, Fibbers is one of the oldest and most famous venues for live music performances in all of Great Britain. The place, which has a central location, was opened for all rock ‘n’ roll fans in 1992 and has an overall capacity of 600 guests. Getting there
Seeing as the location of the venue is right in the centre of York, you can easily find the place by car, train or bus.
By train and tube: Fibbers York is just a seven-minute stroll from the York train station.
By bus: Fibbers is within a six-minute walking distance from the Rail Station bus stops RA (routes 1, 4, 13, 14, 30, 30X, 31 and 4), RB (routes 5, 5A, 11, 12, 21, 22, 22X, 23, 23X, 24, 26 and 412), RC (routes 36, 37, 46, 747, 884, Cityzap, Coastliner routes 840, 843 and 845, Tadfaster, X4, X40, X46 and X47), RD (routes 3, 44 and 66), RE (route 59), RF (routes 1, 5, 5A and 59) and RG (routes 3, 4, 44, 66 and 200).
By car: drivers should look out for the A1036 main road, which is close to the venue.
International: people who land at the Leeds Bradfort Airport should reach Fibbers easily, as the venue is just a one hour drive from the airport. You can also take a bus, stopping right in front of the terminal.
Parking facilities
The closest parking, the NCP Car Park York Tanner Row, is just a three-minute walk to Fibbers and provides spots for Blue Badge Holders.
Access for people with special needs
Unfortunately, Fibbers doesn’t provide any special amenities for people in a wheelchair. However, the personnel are always willing to help such individuals get inside the venue. Moreover, access with an assistant (free pass) or a guide dog is permitted.
