Getting there

Visit the park at Middleton Road, Higher Blackley, Manchester, UK. By train and tube: The nearest train station is Moston (Nothern line), but ist is pretty far off. So, you'd better off exploring other commute routes. By bus: Bus number 135 will take you from Lever Street to Bury Road Old, just a 3-minute walk away.   By car: Take A665 from Piccadilly Station, continue till Great Ancoats Street. The journey will take about 15 minutes. M60 directions is another sure way to reach the park. International: Take Arriva Trains Wales from Llandudno, just 250 meters away from the airport, to Manchester Piccadilly Station, walk to Piccadilly tram stop and take tram G to Heaton Park.

Parking facilities

There is a large parking lot next to the park; the parking fee is £1.50 from 10 am to 5 pm. Additional parking charges may apply during the events. Free parking for the disabled people is provided in Lake Car Park accessed from Sheepfoot Lane.

Accessibility for people with special needs

All gates at the park are wheelchair accessible. The best option for wheelchairs is St Margaret’s Gate. Also, there is a concrete path going around the whole park that is great for wheelchairs. Please note that certain back areas of the park have a path that is going downhill, and then back up again. Adapted toilets are available at the petting farm; other toilets in the park aren’t specially equipped. They are, however, large enough to fit a chair.
