Sundara Karma Tickets

Four young artists from Reading, Berkshire, sharing the same passion for indie-sound, gathered around and formed Sundara Karma in 2011 to take the music world by storm. Vocalist Oscar Pollock, drummer Haydn Evans, guitarist Ally Baty and bassist Dom Cordell are the young musicians of the moment, no doubt about it. The UK band’s refreshing sound was often compared with Kula Shaker’s, but it has something deep and innocent, something “more refreshing than sunshine”, as they used to say.

About Sundara Karma

The beautiful karma

Despite the fragile age, these four teenagers drew a specific direction which they have followed right from the beginning. It seems like it’s their mantra without which the music they produce would be worthless. Sundara Karma found the musical roots in Hinduism; the influences are obvious each time you hit “play” on one of their songs. The name itself is the Sanskrit version of “beautiful or noble karma”.

From Radio One to Reading

Pollock and Haydn are old friends with big dreams. Pollock said in an interview that they wanted to follow this road since they were 10, and have actually formed some small bands meantime. It wasn’t until founding Sundara Karma that they knew how to deal with success. They went on being a constant presence on Radio One and Reading festival, one of the world’s popular rock music festivals. Each single they released was an instant hit, reaching high positions in the Hype Machine chart, not to mention the success on Spotify streams. Their single “Indigo Puff”, for instance, made big waves, followed by “Cold Heaven” and “Flame”, while “Loveblood”, with its beautiful piano motif supporting the chorus, set the musical world on fire. It is definitely the confirmation that these boys sure know how to do music. And they do it with passion.
