About Rob Zombie
“White Zombie”
However, the group had to wait for a noisy recognition: only after five “independent” releases, “White Zombie” were signed to a major label Geffen Records. Zombie's debut album on the major was “La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1” (1992). Next album “Astro-Creep: 2000” (1995) entered the Top 10. The group toured a lot, and with success.
Other Projects
Meanwhile, Rob Zombie carried out some special projects, for example, recorded a duet with his youth idol
Alice Cooper. The song “The Hands of Death” has become the soundtrack to the famous TV series “The X-Files”. And no less illustrious film “The Crow: City of Angels” had a different song of Zombie, “I'm Your Boogieman”. While in the next tour, Rob began working with the creator of such notorious MTV- characters as Beavis and Butthead - Mike Judge - on the key scenes of the film “Beavis and Butthead made America”. After this successful works, Rob was asked to write the script for the continuation of “The Crow”. Then, Howard Stern (the famous comedian) suggested Zombie to sing with him a title theme to “Private Parts” film – “The Great American Nightmare”. It is no wonder that the film, like the soundtrack, thundered around the world.
Solo Career
After that, Rob decided that he did not want to work in a group, and released his first solo album “Hellbilly Deluxe” under his own name. After this, 5 more studio albums followed. The latest one was released in 2016.
