About Nathan Sykes
Background
Nathan James Sykes was born on April 18, 1993 in Gloucester, England, the UK. He started to sing at 6 and performed in a school theater at 11. He proceeded performing as a young singer and has become the winner of a number of competitions, among which were “Britney Spears's Karaoke Kriminals” and “The Cheltenham Competitive Festival of Dramatic Art” in 2003. Nathan appeared at ITV's Ministry of Mayhem in 2004 and won the Door Youth Project's “Undiscovered Youth Talent Contest”. Sykes tried his skills in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Norway. He got to the final where presented the sang “Born to dance”, and took the 3rd place after Cory Spedding (the winner) and Andrew Merry.
Career
In 2013, Sykes was shown with his groupmates on the channel E! in a reality show “The Wanted Life”. In August 2013, he wrote down a soundtrack for the film “Death Machines: Bone City” with
Ariana Grande. He is on friendly terms with other well-known groups and solo performers like “Lawson”,
Ed Sheeran,
Justin Timberlake, Rita Ora,
Justin Bieber (with whom they went together on a tour in 2011),
One Direction, and others. His debut track “Kiss Me Quick” was issued in July 2015. It occupied the first line in the US Dance Club Songs chart.
