André Leon Maries Nicolas Rieu was born in 1949 in a big Dutch family. His first classes of violin he began to take in 1954. During the period from 1968 to 1973, he spent in a musical academy, studying violin with teachers of the highest class - Jo Juda and Herman Krebbers. Then Andre leaves for Brussels to continue his music education at Andre Gertler. In 1978, André Rieu begins to play in an orchestra “The Maastricht Salon Orchestra”. Read more
