About White

About Alan White

Alan was born in Pelton, Co. Durham, England. At 6, Alan started taking piano classes and soon it was evident that he prefers percussive style. After this, his Uncle Ken (a drummer) gave him his first drum kit. In three months after this, Alan began performing in public with a local band. In the 1960s, White continued to practice his skills in England and Europe with a number of teams. In 1969, John Lennon asked him to join the “Plastic Ono Band”. In 1972, while touring together with Joe Cocker, White’s manager said that “Yes” band offered him collaboration.

“White”

In 2005, Alan created a new band and called it without any doubts “White”. The lineup of the band comprises the vocalist Robyn Dawn, who pleasures the audience with soulful, touching vocals; the back vocalist Steve Boyce; the guitarist Karl Haug, who skillfully plays acoustic, electric and searing electric laptop slide; Jonathan Sindelman, who unites the resulting soundscape. In January 2006, they issued their self-titled debut disc, which is on sale in the US and Europe.
