About The Last Shadow Puppets
“The Age of The Understatement”
Alex and Miles are 30. Therefore, their creation breathes with youth, it is full of thirst of life and pure pleasure from music. “The Age of The Understatement” was conceived when Miles recorded a guitar part to the song “505” for the second album of “Arctic Monkeys” - “Favorite Worst Nightmare”. Starting in 2007, they with Alex started the composition of songs. “The Chamber” was the first thing made in common.
Concerts
In 2010, “The Last Shadow Puppets” gave a concert in Los Angeles in Club Nokia in support of Brian O'Connor, from “Eagles of Death Metal” group, who had cancer. Alex and Miles sang 6 of their best songs (“The Age of Understatement”, “My Mistakes Were Made for You”, “In My Room”, “The Chamber”, “Meeting Place” and “Standing Next to Me”). It is remarkable that their new concert after such a long gap, took place also in Los Angeles where their previous concert took place in 2008. Their next album “Everything You've Come to Expect” went out in 2016.
Style
The project quickly gained steam. The merging voices, which are in harmony or prevail one above another, give special sounding to recording. The guys found singing in different styles perfectly suitable for the group.
