About Tame Impala
“The Dee Dee Dums”
The predecessor of “Tame Impala” team was “The Dee Dee Dums”, a part of which, in addition to Parker, was Luke Epstein. In 2005, “The Dee Dee Dums” took the second place in the AmpFest. Sam Davenport changed Epstein, who left the band in October 2006. At the same time, “The Dee Dee Dums” reached the final of National Campus Band Competition from the state of Western Australia. In late 2007, the team changed its name to the present one, and its structure has also changed. Now instead of two guitarists, “Tame Impala” had a more traditional format – guitar, bass, drums.
