As Starling calls herself she is a “real girl in unreal world”. She started her singing career only half and a year ago and she began it with singing the covers of such artists as Bill Withers and Joni Mitchell. Only after this, she started writing down her own dark, brooding pop songs. Starling confessed that she was influenced by such performers as Fiona Apple, “Bat for Lashes”, Patti Smith. Most of all she was attracted by their wild, emotional properties.
