For the first time future members of “The Specials” were gathered by the keyboard player Jerry Dammers in the town of Coventry in 1977. Dammers was born in India in a family of the English priest. Got to Coventry, the little boy entered the Polytechnic college, Art Department. Jerry plunged into music. With the guitarist Golding and the bass player Panter, they began to play a mix of punk and heavy reggae. Read more
