Samantha Florence "Sam" Bailey was born on June 29, 1977, in Bexley, London, England. She is the British singer and drummer. Sam is known as the victor of the musical TV show ‘The X Factor’ in (2013). On March 24, 2014 she issued her debut music disc “The Power of Love”, which immediately became No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart. Before participation in the ‘The X Factor’, she was an officer in the men's prison for many years.
About Sam Bailey
In 2013, Bailey decided to try her hand at a talent show and got to the 10th season of ‘The X Factor’. The fact is that this woman worked in the men's prison as a warden, i.e. she had nothing to do with music, no professional education at all. Surprising is not only the fact that she sings well, but with the absence of any music education she managed to sing much better than those who are engaged in music seriously.
At the first audition, she sang Beyonce’s “Listen” and her performance was simply superb. In the second stage of the audition, she introduced to the wild delight everyone, performing the song “Who's Loving You”. She was placed in a group of “over 25s” and Sam Sharon Osbourne became her mentor. Sam Soon was nicknamed Screwbo: “screw” - officers are called so in a prison, “SuBo” -Susan Boyle was called so, who experienced a real triumph on Britain's Got Talent in 2009. Bailey won the contest with a cover of the hit of Demi Lovato “Skyscraper” and concluded a contract with Syco Music, along with a million pounds.
After the Show
On March 24, 2014, Sam issued her debut music disc “The Power of Love”. It made Bailey the first ‘X Factor’ winner to have a number-one album since Alexandra Burke. To support her album, Sam went on a tour in 2015. Soon the album was reissued with 5 new tracks in it.
