Rihanna’s first disk "Music of the Sun"(2005) produced an unprecedented sensation in the music world. It makes her a true stellar and popular singer in the US and in Europe. Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on February 20, 1988 on the island of Barbados, Caribbean archipelago. Together with two classmates, she founded her own musical group of teenage girls. In 15 years, Rihanna passes triumphant audition with Evan Rogers.
Gaining the popularity
Roger was struck to reveal the beauty and phenomenal talent of the girl. At 16 Rihanna leaves Barbados and moves to Connecticut, where starts to work on her first album.
Rogers organizes Rihanna’s audition for a recording studio "Def Jam Records". Just 8 months after, Rihanna issues her first single, a club song with a strong reggae influence, "Pon de Replay". It takes off at lightning speed to the second line of "№1 singles List" in the USA, and declares the singer a bright rising star of pop music. Her 1st record "Music of the Sun" included "If It's Love That You Need" track. It occupied the tenth place in the chart. Rihanna kicks off her 2nd album, "A Girl Like Me", which gave the world two new smash hits "Unfaithful" and "SOS".
An undeniable hit title single "Umbrella", by a duet with Jay-Z, added the popularity to the 3rd album "Good Girl Gone Bad". "Umbrella" takes the first lines of the American charts and brings her first "Grammy" to Rihanna. The album, which also included the singles "Do not Stop the Music" and "Shut up and Drive", occupies the 2nd position of the charts. The following album "Good Girl Gone Bad: The Remixes" has two new hit - "Disturbia" and "Take a Bow".
Conquering the pop scene for Grammy
Proceeding to conquer the pop scene, Rihanna kicked off a new successful disk "Rated R"(2009) where "Hard" and "Rude Boy" singles were performed firstly. In 2010 the new album "Loud" again achieved great commercial success and get critical acclaim, thanks to the songs "What's My Name", "Only Girl (in the World)" and "S & M". Along with a long list of her own songs, Rihanna performs compositions in duet with other singers: "Run This Town" with Jay-Z, "Love the Way You Lie" with Eminem and "All of the Lights" with Kanye West.
Rihanna issued her next studio record, "Talk That Talk". The track "We Found Love", included in the album, is a duet with DJ Kevin Harris. It receives the award "Grammy" for best music video in 2013.
