Early Years

In 2003, Platten finished Trinity college with the degree in the international relations. As the training program, she went to the island of Trinidad to do practical training in the office of a diplomat, and also in a recording studio. At that time, in 2002, she sang in a group of friends at the final of International Soca Monarch. According to her, since that moment she understood that she should devote herself to music. Then she went to New York, to Greenwich Village where she began to sing in a cover group “Dayz of Wild”.

Charity Work

First, she gave solo concerts for local public, and eventually, began to go on tours over the country. She cooperated with a set of charitable organizations, sang in hospitals and was the ambassador of Music Unites. In addition, she works with Ryan Seacrest Foundation fund and was the ambassador of Below the Line, the organization urging to do away with world poverty.

Debut and Other Works

She let out the debut album “Trust in Me” (2003). Her following album “Be Here” was let out on Rock Ridge Music in 2011. And her song “Seven Weeks” was used in the movie “The Good Guy”. Also several of her songs were used on television: the song “Begin Again” on ABC Family TV in the 100-th episode of the show “Pretty-Little Liars”. The song “Don't Care What Time It Is” was on VH1 TV channel in the show Basketball Wives, and the song “You're Safe” on MTV in "Finding Carter". In 2014, her most famous song “Fight Song” debuted in the show “We Hear It”. In 2015, Rachel Platten let out the new single “Stand By You” which entered her album “Wildfire”, released in 2016 on the label of Sony Music Entertainment.
