Born in the Scottish town of Paisley on January 9, 1987, Paolo Giovanni Nutini tops the list of sensual, but also a bold singer of a new generation of composers. A video clip “Jenny Do not Be Hasty” and a memorable anthem about the healing properties of shoes – “New Shoes” brought him success. Nutini first began performing in public in the choir at school, and although the selected songs in the choir were hardly among his favorites, the teacher succeeded to notice the talent of a young musician.

First Contract
At 16, Nutini went on a tour with his friends, who had a group, as a road-manager, T-shirts seller, and, if necessary, support on the stage. Then Paolo left school in Glasgow and went to London, where he started playing in various clubs regularly. His bold vocals and defiant songs provoked an immediate response, he made a deal with Atlantic Records when he was only 18 and started recording his debut disc with a famous producer Ken Nelson.
First Album
The result of their work, “These Streets”, followed when Paolo moved from his beloved Paisley to London, the impressions of which are reflected in the title track of the album. Paolo issued his first single “Last Request” and it immediately got on the fifth place in the UK charts. The debut album “These Streets” was certified gold in just two weeks and then became platinum.
Recognition in the Mass Media
In addition to this success, the album has received laudatory reviews from critics. Uncut Magazine gave it four stars out of five, The Observer said that Paolo had talent for writing elegant, melodic songs, and American Rolling Stone included him in the list of the top 10 new artists in 2006.
