The group debuted in 2005 with the album “A Fever You Can't Sweat Out” which was sold by two million copies, and their clip on the song “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” won the 1st place in MTV and snipped off one of the musical awards for the best video in 2006. The current participants of the group are Brendon Urie (vocals), Dallon Weekes (bass), Kenneth Harris (guitar), and Dan Pawlovich (drums).
About Panic! at the Disco
Foundation and First Steps
Childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson, and Brendon Urie founded the band. The creativity of the group differed in some unpredictability – “Panic! At the Disco” mixed in the songs everything from guitar rock to dancing techno rhythms.
In 2005, they sent to the bass player of “Fall Out Boy” punk group the reference to the page with their songs. The debut album “A Fever You Can't Sweat Out” was issued in 2005.
Touring
The group immediately went to give concerts in structures of various joint tours. In 2006 “Panic! At The Disco” gave their own concerts across Europe. In the spirit of David Bowie and Pink Floyd, “Panic! At The Disco” plans the shows in details. On performances, they can even be seen in circus costumes surrounded by acrobats.
The Mature Period
In 2008, there is the 2nd album of the group “Pretty. Odd”, in which the group experiments with style and sounding in every possible way. It seems that participants of the group took the recordings of the parents, as it is possible to hear Brian Wilson, “The Beatles”, and less known “Zombies” in their album. The first single of the album “Nine In The Afternoon” is with obvious Beatles’ influence, a country song “Pas De Cheval”, indie rock composition “Northern Downpour” – with these songs the children seem to prove how they grew up in comparison with the first album. Rob Meters, who worked with Lennie Kravitz and Avril Lavigne earlier, became the producer of the album.
