Obsidian Tickets

“Obsidian” was formed on July 9, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. They are a west coast Thrash/Heavy Metal/ Hard rock band playing in such states as California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada. The group gave performances in the most outstanding places of the LA music scene. E.g., Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, the House of Blues on Sunset, Boardners, Loaded Hollywood, etc. The current lineup of the group comprises Carlos Calavera (lead vocalist / bassist), Frank Bera (guitarist / backing vocals) and Mike Lopez (drummer). They are not signed to any musical record label and work independently.

About Obsidian

Carlos Calavera

He came from Gardena, California. Carlos entered the band in February 2014. He trained music at Cal State Dominguez Hills specializing in percussions but he is also the drummer for a punk group, “Psyk Ward”. Thanks to his huge experience of playing in the Los Angeles punk/metal groups and due to his talent and skills for the bass and vocals, he became a valuable addition to the band.

Mike Lopez

He was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Mike also studied in Cal State Dominguez Hills and finished it with Bachelors in Music. His music experience includes more than 14 years, comprising the years of playing in such local bands as “F.O.G., Mr. K” and “the DP's”, and “The Muli”. He is a part of “Obsidian” from 2011.

Frank Bera

Frank is the founder of “Obsidian”. He began playing the guitar in his teens and has gained a reputation of a talented guitaris in Los Angeles. He practiced guitar playing at Agape Music and Los Angeles City College.
