About Mystery Jets
Mystery Jets Debut
The band’s UK debut album, called Making Dens, was released in 2006 under the record label 679 Recordings with their worldwide debut album, Zootime, being released in 2007 under Dim Mak Records. The Zootime album was basically a collection of tracks from the Making Dens album as well as a few others thrown in.
By 2008, the band was still going strong and released their second album, Twenty One, in March and later performed in front of 35,000 fans at the Scottish RockNess festival. In January 2009 Mystery Jets left 679 Recordings to sign with Rough Trade Records instead. The band released two albums on the Rough Trade Records label, Serotonin (2010) and Radlands (2012), but neither had as much success as their debut album, Making Dens.
Latest Successes
To help celebrate Transgressive Records tenth anniversary in 2014, the Mystery Jets were asked to play at a one-off show at the Barbican in London, alongside Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, Marika Hackman, Dry The River, and
Laura Marling. After the newest band member, Jack Flanagan joined the crew in January 2014 the Mystery Jets began working on some new material and released their fifth album entitled Curve of The Earth in January 2016. The Curve of The Earth has proved to be their most successful album so far and climbed to number 30 on the UK Albums Chart.
