Uzoechi Emenike, better known as MNEK, was born on November 9, 1994 in Lewisham, London, UK. He is the British singer, composer, and the producer of a Nigerian origin. The pseudonym MNEK is a reduced form of the name of the performer, which is read as eMeNEKey. The singer is nominated for a prestigious American award of the Grammy. MNEK is signed on Virgin EMI Records. In December 2013, MNEK was one out of 15 actors who have entered the Long List BBC.

In January 2014, he records the track “Ready For Your Love” with “Gorgon City”. The song stopped on the 4th positions in the British chart and on the 41st in the Irish chart of singles. At last, on April 20, 2014, MNEK recorded the single, “Every Little Word” on 1Xtra. The single entered a debut studio disk. On May 9, there was an EP with remixes from Joe Goddard and Fred V & Grafix. The premiere of the following single “Wrote a Song About You” took place on BBC Radio 1, on 13 of June, 2014.Debut album
