Mike Posner Tickets

Michael Robert Henrion "Mike" Posner was born on February 12, 1988 in Detroit, the State of Michigan, in a family of the druggist and lawyer. Posner studied in Wylie E. Groves High School and Duke University, and was also a member of the brotherhood Stigma Nu (ΣΝ). Popularity came to Mike after he uploaded a cover version of Beyoncé’s hit “Halo” on YouTube.

Mixtaping For friends

The first mixtape — a collection of songs consolidated in a uniform track — Mike made for a party of friends on a campus. Don Cannon and DJ Benzi took part in its recording. Soon Posner's mixtape (including his own songs) were distributed at dormitories of America, and he was invited on the DJ sets to the next universities, and then in clubs over the country.

The Contract

Then Jive Record (the division of Sony Music) became interested in the young musician. Having listened to solo material of Posner, managers of the label founded it excellent, and agreed to wait with recording until Mike finishes the education.

Debut

His debut album, “31 Minutes to Takeoff”, was released on August 10, 2010. The first single from the album, “Cooler Than Me”, rose in a rating of Billboard Hot 100 to the 6th place. The clip with a three-dimensional graphics was shot on this single. The second single “Please Don't Go” left on July 20, 2010. Posner took part in the America's Got Talent program in 2010, too. In 2016, appeared his new record “At Night, Alone”. He also took part in three headline and 2 promotional tours from 2010 to 2014.
