American singer, amateur performer and producer, Meghan Trainor was born on Nantucket Island, the State of Massachusetts, in a family of Gary Trainor and Kelly Anne "Kelli". At 11, she began to compose her first songs. Since 12, Meghan acts professionally. She participates in the "Island Fusion" group where her family members played. Her first song received the name 'Give Me a Chance'.

Three years the girl was a participant of a jazz band while studying at high school. At 15 Meghan came to Berklee College of Music.
Young but talented
At 17 Trainor won at the song contest with her own song "You're Good With Me". At 18, she signed the contract as a songwriter. She wrote for Shay Mooney from the country duet "Dan + Shay" and for the country singer Hunter Hayes from "R5" group.
Then, she settled in Nashville where has independently issued two albums "I'll Sing With You" and "Only 17". In 2014, she signed the deal with the sound recording studio "Epic Records" and issued the first single "All About That Bass" which won the 1st place in the American Billboard Hot 100, and the first places in charts of some other countries.
In 2014 her mini-album "Title (EP)" containing three new songs appeared. After this, Trainor issued the second single "Lips Are Movin" which was included in her 2nd studio album "Title" (2015).

As the performer, Trainor works in such genres as the bubblegum-pop, a white soul, doo-wop, and pop.
Trainor plays various instruments, including a bass guitar, a standard guitar, a piano, a synthesizer, a pipe, a bongo, etc. For her, the melody is more important than lyrics. As the skilled author, Meghan perfectly works in various genres, comprising country, hip-hop, reggae, and juice (the Caribbean music). But the styles of doo-wop and reggae are her favourites.
