English singer and songwriter Richard Paul Ashcroft was born in 1971 in Higher End, Wigan, England. At school, he got acquainted with his future partners in the group “The Verve” where he sang and played the guitar since its formation in 1990 and until its collapse in 1999. As a teenager, Ashcroft was seriously fond of football, and even wanted to become a professional player, but then he decided to devote himself to music. Read more
