Positioned right in the centre of London, on Suffolk Street, the Theatre Royal Haymarket is the third oldest active playhouse in the city, dating back to 1720. The original building was located a bit further on the same street. The current Theatre Royal Haymarket building was opened in 1821 and features a capacity of 888 seats, spread across four levels. In the course of time, the venue has been renovated three times, in 1879, 1904 and 1994.
