Located on Brick Lane, in East London, Rough Trade East is a record shop which doubles as an event venue for free live music performances from genres like post-punk, alternative rock or indie rock. Opened in 2007 inside an old brewery, the venue has a total capacity of 200 guests. The Rough Trade label has a long and impressive history, being first established in West London in 1976. Bands which held live performances here include Vampire Weekend and Blur.

Due to its handy location in the centre of East London, Rough Trade East can be accessed by train, tube, bus and car.
By train and tube: Rough Trade East is a 7-minute walk from the Shoreditch High Street train station. The Aldgate East Station, serving the tube lines District and Hammersmith & City, is within an 11-minute walking distance.
By bus: The venue is just a 3-minute walk from the bus stops Shoreditch High Street Station S and Folgate Street T, which serve the bus route 67.
By car: You shouldn’t have any trouble finding the venue by car, as it is in the proximity of the main road Commercial St/A1202.
International: International travellers will be delighted to know that it only takes about 25 minutes to drive from the London City Airport to the venue. As an alternative, once you arrive at the airport you can take the DLR tube from the London City Airport station.
