Nathan is included in the Guinness Book of Records as a singer-teenager with the most vigorous voice in the world. He became a participant of the British-Irish boy-group “The Wanted”. The band was formed when he was only 16. In 2013, on his 20th anniversary Sykes had surgery on his vocal cords. His first performance after the operation was in June 2013 on the Summer Ball Capital FM. The emergence of Sykes was a real surprise for 80,000 of his fans.
