Finsbury Park is based on Seven Sisters Road, in the Haringey neighborhood of the capital. Opened in 1869, the park went through a large transformation, which made it possible for the project to win the Green Flag Award two years later and preserve it ever since. It’s a peaceful green escape from the urban jungle where more than often, big concerts and festivals are held. The most noticeable performances until now include such prominent names from the music industry as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Oasis or Limp Bizkit.

Getting there
Reaching the Finsbury Park is possible from every area of the capital, so it’s your decision if you want to choose public transport or your personal car to travel around. Any option is a good one since the park features various commute routes.
By train and tube: if you use the metro to get to the area, note that Finsbury Park has its own station, and the same goes for the train and the bus. Manor House is another underground station located near the park, and you have connections with multiple lines across the city.
By car: you can get to Finsbury Park by car too, but you will have to follow the directions from your map, depending on the area you’re coming from.
International: The journey from Heathrow International Airport to Finsbury Park will take you approximately one hour by tube (Piccadilly line). It’ll get you directly to Finsbury Park Underground Station. At Gatwick, the other London’s major international airport, take the train to Victoria Station then the tube to Finsbury Park Underground Station.
Parking facilities
The Finsbury parking area is operated on a pay and display scheme, and vehicles displaying blue badges have access to all areas. Additionally, there is a car park on Seven Sisters Road, just 10 minutes walk from Finsbury Park and multiple private driveways at short distances from the square.
Access for people with special needs
During the major restoration back in 2005, pathways have been reconstructed, so they’re now wide enough for wheelchairs to pass. Toilets for people with disabilities can be found at the entrance of Finsbury Park on Seven Sisters Road, outside Boots; there are also seating shelters for physically impaired people.
