Chicagoan artist Chancelor Bennet, also known as Chance the Rapper, was born on April 16, 1993 in West Chatham neighbourhood of Chicago. The American hip hop artist followed his own path, despite his father’s desire to pursue a political career. When Chance first listened to Kanye West’s album, “The College Dropout”, when he was only 11 years-old, he fell in love with hip-hop. The urge to record his own songs became almost impossible to stop and his second mixtape, “Acid Rap”, was a successful outcome of his passion for music. Read more
