Lianne La Havas was born in 1989 in London, England. Lianne became keen on music as early as seven years, when she began to sing, and her parents helped her greatly, both of whom were musicians. The first of her own songs La Havas wrote at the age of 11, and she learned to play the guitar later. Lianne decided to study in Croydon, in Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise College for Girls, where she planned to study art. However, in fact, she did not begin the study, deciding to develop her music career.
About Lianne La Havas
First approach to music industry
With the help of friends, the girl found some possibility to approach the music industry. She met Paloma Faith and later Lianne sang with her. Her first EP album La Havas recorded in October 2011 and called it “Lost & Found”. The same year she let out another work – a concert disc “Live in L.A.”. A song from the album “Lost & Found” called “No Room for Doubt” became really remarkable, Lianne performed it with Willy Mason. This video collected 700 000 views on YouTube. “Live in L. A” is available for free download on the official site of the singer.
New Releases
In the beginning of 2012, La Havas presented another EP – “Forget”. The first official studio album of the singer “Is Your Love Big Enough?” came out in summer, recorded under the label Warner Brothers. The album made a very good debut, almost immediately hitting the 4th line of the British chart. It was also noticed in Europe.
Different Songs
All the songs of Lianne La Havas are very different; each of them presents its own history. For example, the track “Is Your Love Big Enough?”, which gave the name to the album, is the history of a girl who bought a guitar in the shop second hand and found her calling. “Forget” is gentle and spiteful at the same time, and “Lost & Found” is amazingly melodic. “No room for doubt” is not similar to anything; it is touching and calls the sense of incomprehensible nostalgia. In general, Lianne La Havas is called today one of the most interesting and promising British performers. Her creativity is always sudden and completely unpredictable. In addition to the beautiful, deep, gentle voice, Lianne has a very exotic look, due to her mixed Jamaican and Greek roots.
