In the heart of Leeds’s art quarter lies The Wardrobe – a bar, kitchen, music and event space venue. Opened in 1999, to this day it has been a very successful club, and gives you the opportunity to have a memorable experience. The facility offers a capacity of 900 spread over a basement club, a café bar and the restaurant. The Wardrobe has hosted live shows which included performers like The Long Ryders
, Laura Mvula
, Robert Newman, Robin Ince and many more.
The venue is located on 6 St Peters Square, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS9 8AH, and there are several ways of getting there:
By train and tube: the nearest station to the building is Leeds – about 13 minutes from the building. After you leave the station to go north on New Station St. On a crossroad with Boar Ln, turn right and continue walking only on the same lane. After a while of walking you will see a junction between York St and St Peter’s St. Turn to the left and you will see the venue.
By bus: buses 49, 50 and 56 can lead you a couple of minutes to the north of the venue. Numbers 5, 10, 11, 15, 16, 19, 40, 50, 59, 61, 64, 163 and 166 can drop you off a minute away from the club.
By car: get directions from the map to reach the building. You can turn to Peters Square from A61 route.
International: take a rail from Cottingley, Outwood or Woodlesford. Exit at Leeds and walk to the venue.
About five minutes from the bar is the NCP Car Park. You will locate it on York St; Blue Badgers are welcome to this easily accessible lot.
