John William Peter Newman, born on June 16, 1990, in Settle, North Yorkshire, England, is the British singer, songwriter. His debut track “Love Me Again” was at the top of the UK Singles Chart in July 2013. Performing as a guest vocalist in the British electronic band “Rudimental”, he participated in the record of the hits “Feel the Love” and “Not Giving In”. He started playing the guitar and creating his own songs at 14. At 20, he left for London, where he assembled a band. They performed live and the producers of Island Records noticed them and contracted John.

Successful Start

The debut track “Cheating” under the arches of the new recording studio was recorded almost immediately. The success start of his career began thanks to the cooperation with the British electronic quartet “Rudimental”. Their work was able to lead a nationwide UK Singles Chart. The track “Feel the Love” with John Newman was the first in the Asylum Records label’s history recording that headed the British charts for their 40 years’ history. Then, the single dropped to the 4th line. The track was in the UK Top 10 for 11 weeks. It occupied the 16th place in the list of bestsellers.

Other Releases

In October 2013, there was the record of the debut disk “Tribute” which was a huge success and it appeared on the peak of the UK charts. It was nominated for a World Music Award in the category “Best World Album”. One of the best recordings from it is the song “Love Me Again”. In December 2013, he issued “Losing Sleep”, as the third track from the disk. John’s second disk “Revolve” appeared in 2015. The single “Tiring game” was produced with the participation of Charlie Wilson.
