Background of the group began in 1970, when Bobby Liebling joined the band “Space Meat”. When at Halloween of 1971, the new name “Pentagram” appeared, the participants of the group were Geof O'Keefe (guitar), Vincent McAllister (bass,) and Steve Martin (drums). They wanted to sound as loud as possible, so following the examples of “Blue cheer” and “Groundhogs”, they tuned their amps to the full.
