Fleetwood Mac Tickets

The group has been created in London by the outstanding blues guitarist Peter Green, who had written down a successful album with the John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers team before. The team has received the name thanks to the drummer Mick Fleetwood and the bass player John McVie. They are the unique participants of the first structure who act together with Fleetwood Mac to this day.

About Fleetwood Mac

Glorious 60-s and first fall

In the late sixties “Fleetwood Mac” adhered to the traditional Chicago blues. They also wrote down several things of other musical directions, which are perfectly illustrated by the ballad "Black Magic Woman" (which made Carlos Santana well-known) and their first super hit, composition "Albatross". In 1969 it occupied the first place in Great Britain and, on George Harrison's recognition, inspired “The Beatles” on writing "Sun King". By 1971, the guitar and blues structure of Fleetwood Mac stopped it existence: the guitarists Green and Jeremy Spencer suffered from schizophrenia under the influence of drugs. Some time the group was considered to stop its existence. Since 1971 to 1974 at the top of the "authentic" group were Christine McVie (John's wife) and the guitarist Bob Welch.

Fresh reigniting

After the leaving of the guitarist Bob Welch, Fleetwood and his partners have recruited the American guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and his extravagant girlfriend Stevie Niks who have developed the “Fleetwood Mac” direction towards stylish pop music with guitar maintenance and a gruffish female vocal. The Americanized group has chosen as a source of inspiration The Beach Boys. This reform has turned out so successful that the album "Fleetwood Mac" (1975) with the single "Rhiannon" opened the team for the American youth and scrambled on the 1st place in a national chart of sales. The album "Rumours", which has followed it, became the most cash release of the year and won "Grammy" for the best album. After deafening success of "Rumours”, the team spent two years recording an ambitious and innovative album "Tusk" (1979), which has been highly appreciated by musical critics. However, it has turned a commercial failure.

Remembering the past

The subsequent albums of the group blew as nostalgia and often reached the 1st place in charts of sales: "Mirage" (1982) and "The Dance" (1997) — in the USA, and "Tango in the Night" (1987) and "Behind the Mask" (1990) — in Great Britain. A bright sample of late works is the song of McVie "Little Lies" (1987). In 1991 Stevie Niks, who has become the face of “Fleetwood Mac”, left the team and it was declared about its disintegration. However, several months later Bill Clinton convinced them to reunite, using "Don’t Stop" as a musical subject for the election campaign. “Fleetwood Mac” performed on a ball, concerning the inauguration of the 42nd U.S. President.
