Career start

Enrique's career began when he still studied at school. His first song debut took place in the play “Hello Dolly”. People were struck with his artistic talent. After that, he was engaged in singing without telling his parents. He also began to write songs, and in a year after leaving school he signed the contract with the sound recording studio “Fonovisa”. He went to Canada to record the first album for three months. Songs which were a part of the first and second album have been written when he was 17. Songs from its later album “Cosas Del Amor” have more mature nature.

The debut album of Enrique “Enrique Iglesias”(1995) rose the tops of the Latin American charts of America. And he was the most sold Latin American performer in 1996, 1997, 1998 and remains to this day! He received the Grammy in 1997 for the first album. Its second album “Vivir” also was at the top. The sales of his third album “Cosas del Amor” have exceeded indicators of the first two.

Cinema career

As soon as the whole world learned about his talent and vocal skills, Enrique was invited to filming. Of course, at first he participated only in promo-rollers. However, in 2003 Iglesias received the offer from Robert Rodriguez to act in the movie "Once in Mexico".
