Corey Todd Taylor is a prominent musician born on December 8, 1973, in Des Moines, Iowa, the United States of America. He had a difficult childhood, which after all, made Corey stronger and more dedicated. Today, he is mostly known as a Slipknot vocalist. It is a bit surprising that he has not very successful as a solo singer. Taylor's song "X-m@s" was released in 2010, but it is still popular, because of an untraditional view on the holiday. Taylor’s sarcasm has nothing to do with Christmas itself; he was mocking people who feel bitter on that day.
About Corey Taylor
Stone Sour
Today, Stone Sour, the band founded by Corey Taylor, is known and loved all over the world. But it was not always like that. Stone Sour started playing in 1993, but in 1997 left the band to join Slipknot. He returned only in 2002 and Stone Sour finally recorded their debut album, which was a great success, to the large extend due to Taylor's tremendous charisma.
Slipknot
As for Slipknot, the band had its rises and falls, too. After 2-year work, a difficult period started. The label and the producer ceased to sponsor musicians. Alongside with the emotional tension, this almost led to a split in the band. But it didn’t. Slipknot has released five studio albums. With the song Wait and Bleed, Slipknot got their first Grammy nomination. They actually got a Grammy Award in 2005 with Before I Forget from the third album as The Best Metal Performance. The fourth band's album, All Hope Is Gone, has achieved the top position in the Billboard 200.
