Cimorelli is one of the most interesting family projects of the recent years. It is worth saying that the girls would attract the attention of the audience, even if they were not related. But the fact that they are all sisters, so nice and gifted, has made them really popular with teens all over the world. Cimorelli, with all their work and living, show that there is nothing more important than the people close to you. Besides, they reveal many acute teens’ problems, like in the song You’re Worth It (2014).
About Cimorelli
History
There are six sisters in the band. Besides, the girls have four more siblings, which makes eleven children in the family. Actually, in today’s world, this makes their family already remarkable. But the girls wanted to achieve something with their own talent, and that is when the history of the Cimorelli as a band started. It was in 2007, when five Cimorelli sisters: Christina, Katherine, Lauren, Lisa and Amy – decided to record a couple of singing videos for YouTube. Christina is not just the oldest of all sisters, but also the founder and the leader of the band. She wrote the majority of early Cimorelli songs, together with Lauren. They had great success on YouTube, so there was no reason to postpone the release of an EP. Dani, the youngest one, joined the band in 2010.
Records
Cimorelli has recorded six EPs: Cimorelli (2008), CimFam EP (2011), Believe it EP (2012), Made in America EP (2013), Renegade EP (2014), and Christmas Magic EP (2014). They all have both covers and original songs. Girls sing a cappella a lot (actually, that is how they started), and all the Christmas Magic EP are performed with no instrumental accompaniment. Cimorelli also released a mixtape Hearts on Fire (2015). In 2016, the debut album Up at Night has been finally released. It features ten tracks, both known from EP’s and absolutely new ones, such as I know You Know It.
