About Chris Brown

Rapid progress

Chris Brown left school at the end of 2004 and started working on the album "Chris Brown". The album occupied the 2nd place of the chart Billboard 200 with sales more than 155 thousand copies. In 5 weeks, the album was platinum, and in a year — twice platinum. The debut hit "Run It!" became No. 1 in the USA, New Zealand, and Australia. After "Run It!" the 2nd track "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" headed ten hits of the USA. The next disk “Exclusive” was let out worldwide in 2007. It included two successful singles: the 2nd hit #1 in America, "Kiss Kiss" with the participation of T-Pain and "With You" #2 in Billboard Hot 100. Brown released deluxe version of “The Forever Edition”. The first song "Forever" occupied number two in Billboard Hot 100. “Exclusive” was certified platinum by RIAA. Alongside with solo commercial progress, Brown took part in creation of some hits, such as "No Air", a duet with the singer Dzhordin Sparks, "Shortie like Mine" with the rapper Bow Wow and "Shawty Get Loose" together with Lil Mama and T-Pain. The songs reached the 3rd, 9th, and 10th lines in Billboard Hot 100. Thanks to the dancing talent, Brown was compared to such well known R&B artists as Asher and Michael Jackson who, as Brown told, strongly influenced his creativity.

Continuing success and first failure

The 3rd single "Gimme That" appeared in March, 2006, having also presented Lil’ Wayne, who didn't take part in the recording of the track which entered an album initially. This single appeared in the American Billboard 100 on the 80th place and very quickly reached the 15th. On August 17, 2006, to continue the promotion of an album, Chris began the tour with "The Up Close and Personal Tour". In 2008 he was nominated as “The best performer” with the song "With You" at Video music awards from MTV. The first track from "Wall to Wall' album, debuted number 96 in Billboard Hot 100 and occupied number 79 and number 22 in a chart of Billboard R&B and Hip-Hop, having become his most unsuccessful song. His other popular albums are “Graffiti” (2009), “F.A.M.E.” (2011), “’Fortune” (2012), “X (2014), “Fan Of A Fan: The Album” (2015), “Royalty” (2015).
