“ZZ Top” is an American blues-rock trio from Texas, which consists of Billy Gibbons (guitar), Dusty Hill (bass guitar) and Frank Beard (drums). They were formed in 1970 in Houston, joining rival groups “Moving Sidewalks” (Gibbons) and “American Blues” (Hill and Beard). The first two albums have displayed strong roots of blues and Texas humor of the group. Their third album (“Tres Hombres”) brought them national recognition thanks to the hit “La Grange”, a musical rhythm saver, which is popular until now, and based on the compositions of John Lee Hooker “Boogie Chillen”.
