Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie, known as Lulu, was born on November 3, 1948 in Lennoxtown. She is the English singer and actress, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1969. Lulu debuted on the scene at 15, accompanied by the group “The Luvvers”. Since 1965, she performs independently. Since that time, Lulu actively starred in television movies. In particular, in 1967, Lulu played with Sidney Poitier in “To Sir, with Love”. The track from the film led the US Billboard Hot 100 during 5 weeks. Read more
