Against the Current, a pop-rock band from State New York, USA, was formed in early 2011. Led by a vocalist Chrissy Costanza, the band currently consist of a drummer Will Ferri and guitarist Dan Gow in addition to the lead vocalist. The group gained popularity through YouTube, where they posted their covers of the most famous songs from different performers as well as covers made in collaboration with other YouTube cover artists like Sam Tsui or Alex Goot.

The band’s first extended play, “Infinity” was released in 2014 under their own label. The next one, “Gravity”, was released almost a year later. Soon after that, they announced that they had been signed by label Fueled by Ramen. The same year Against the Current announced their first world tour, which lasted for three months. The group played shows on various continents, including Europe, Asia, and North America. Finally, after their glorious tour Glamour Kills Spring Break ’15 the first full-length album “In Our Bones” was released in May 2016. Alternative Press, in fact, called this album a “pop-rock perfection”. When the band was asked to give themselves a genre, Chrissy Costanza said that their most popular songs belong to different types of genres: “Talk” being pop-funk, “Fireproof” being rock and “Gravity” being pop.

Currently, the band has many songs and popular singles, 21 covers and one full album released so far on top of very positive reviews of the music critiques. In addition to that, Against The Current has Vans Warped Tour in the United States and In Our Bones World Tour in Asia and Europe ahead of them by the end of 2016.
