Adele Adkins was born on 5 May 1988 in Tottenham – one of the areas of North London, which is notorious for frequent riots and organized crime. In 2006, the singer records a few demo versions of her songs as homework. The prominent British producer of the record company XL Recordings noticed new songs. The singer's first single "Hometown Glory"(2007) appeared in a very limited edition. But a year later, it was re-released, and the song itself won a nomination for Grammy Award. The first hit was the song "Chasing Pavements", which has reached the second line of the national charts in Britain only few weeks after the official release.

Her first music award Adele received before the release of her first album. It was the Brit AwardsCritics' Choice Award. However, this success soon faded before the number of various awards, which fell to the singer after the coming of her first album "19". The most honorable of them, of course, is the Order of the British Empire. We can’t but mention "Oscar" and "Golden Globe" awards for her song, the soundtrack to the James Bond film "007: Coordinates "Skyfall"".
