Nasir was born in New York's Brooklyn on September 14, 1973. Nasir Jones made his debut with the demo in 1991 under the pseudonym Nasty Nas. In the same 1991, Nas appeared on the track of “Main Source”- “Live at the Barbeque”, and in mid-1992, Nas met MC Serch of 3rd Bass.
