10cc Tickets

10cc is a British pop and art-rock band founded in 1972 in Manchester. They interpreted the traditions of pop music, adapting the old-fashioned styles and presenting them to the new audience. The band was formed by eminent representatives of the Manchester rock. Graham Gouldman played in The Mockingbirds. Eric Stewart played in The Mindbenders; and after Wayne Fontana had left the band, he became their leader. Lol Creme and Kevin Godley had proved themselves to be great studio musicians, creating hits for others.

About 10cc

Hotlegs

In 1970, Godley, Creme and Stewart formed the band called Hotlegs. The band recorded a single Neanderthal Man, which unexpectedly became a hit. Hotlegs released an album Thinks: School Times that was followed by a joint tour with The Moody Blues.

The Golden Era of 10cc

After the band had signed a contract with Jonathan King’s UK Records, its name was changed to 10cc. They recorded a single Donna (1972), which got #2 in the British charts. The next single, Rubber Bullets, was outstandingly popular in 1973. The same year, the band released the debut album, titled 10cc, and got one of the leading pop-rock bands in Britain. The song I'm Not in Love (1975) topped the British charts and got #2 in the US. In 1976, after releasing the album How Dare You! Godley and Creme left the band.

Splits and Reunions

Gouldman and Stewart continued to work as a duet. In 1977, they recorded Deceptive Bends, featuring the renowned The Things We Do for Love. 10cc disbanded in the mid-80s, but all the four original members got together again in 1992. They released the album …Meanwhile together, and Mirror Mirror (1995) without Godley and Creme. Eric Steward abandoned 10cc in 1999.
