Walter Trout Tickets

Walter Trout was born on March 6, 1951, in Ocean City, New Jersey. As a child, he played the guitar, practising for many hours a day. He is a true blues legend. For all his life, Trout has proven that talent and hard work can bring one on the top. He overcame drug addiction and terrible decease to hit all the top tens of The Greatest Guitarists in the world. He was not recognised in his home country for many years, but he managed to find the way and stolen the hearts of millions, both in the US and far beyond.

About Walter Trout

Early Career

First, Trout worked in New Jersey. In 1970, he moved to Los Angeles. At that time, he collaborated with Percy Mayfield, John Lee Hooker and Joe Tex. In 1981, Trout started to play guitar in Canned Heat. He was noticed by John Mayall, who invited him to play with the Bluesbreakers.

Solo Career

He played in the Bluesbreakers until 1989. After that, Trout first gained experience of a solo artist. He formed the Walter Trout Band; with which he recorded the debut album, Life in the Jungle, in 1990. Trout’s talent got recognised in Europe almost immediately. However, in the United States, Trout struggled for fame for more than a decade. Walter Trout Band changed its name three times over the last twenty years. In 1998, they started calling themselves Walter Trout and the Free Radicals and released four studio and live albums under this name, including the renowned Live Trout (2000). Later, the band’s name was shortened to Walter Trout and the Radicals, and then - to Walter Trout.

Recent Awards

Walter Tout won British Blues Awards three years in a row. Trout’s 2015 studio album Battle Scars, with its unforgettable Omaha Prelude and  Omaha, became #2 Blues Album. In 2015, Trout also won the prestigious SENA European Guitar Award. In 2016, Gonna Live Again was announced the Best Song of the Year.
