Located in one of the most vibrant parts of the centre of Nottingham, the Nottingham Playhouse is a theatre where patrons can enjoy some of the most spectacular artistic performances in all of the Great Britain. The venue was first opened in 1948. However, it initially served as a repertory theatre. The modern movement theatre that is still active today was opened in 1963. The building, which has a capacity of 770 viewers, was renovated and refurnished in 2004.
