About The Lumineers
The Beginning
"The Meadowlark" is the small basement bar with a capacity less than one hundred people located in Denver (Colorado). In this bar, in 2010, “The Lumineers” began to act regularly during the open microphone. At that time, the musical collective consisted of two people: Wesley Schulz and Jeremiah Fraites. Thanks to this bar, “The Lumineers” got acquainted with local legends of a foul bottom — Nathaniel Ratliff and “Paper Bird” group.
Being in the Top
Singing only a couple of songs once a week, our heroes stepped into a track which as a result led them to Top-10 of the USA chart with the single “Ho Hey” and at once to two nominations on Grammy in the categories “The Best New Artist” and “The Best Album in Style of American”.
Debut Album
The debut album of the group with the same name left in 2012. Since then, the collective, which has expanded to five participants, didn't get out of the tour bus. Pubs were replaced by clubs, and at times and huge platforms — the guys managed to act on a warming up at Dave Matthews's group in their stadium tour. It is interesting that when “The Lumineers” performed as headliners at the New Year's concert in the main hall of Denver “Theatre of Ogden”, a governor of the state John Hickenlooper, who was among the audience, admitted later: “Wes Schulz has won absolute attention of audience with ease”.
The success of “The Lumineers’” album, which was sold with in more than 900 thousand copies, forced musicians to change the coziness of a musical party of Denver for the vanity of East coast.
